This is the Declaration of Candidacy for persons wanting to run for the Board of Education on Feb. 3, 2009. Each must be a registered voter and reside within the district they intend to represent. The districts up for election are: District 1, District 2 and District 3. See map.

 Proposed Policies: The Board of Education seeks your input on proposed policy, BCB Conflict of Interest.  There is an alternative option within the proposed policy.  See section III, Letter "L".  Offer your opinion as to which option is better:  the original language or the alternative language.  E-mail your thoughts to:  opinions@lcps.k12.nm.us.  The School Board will discuss the proposed policy at its Dec. 2 meeting at 6:30 p.m. in the Board Room of the School Administration Building.
